Adhunika, Drishtipat and NYBAP invite you to the screening of "Deshantori” (The Migrant). The widely acclaimed film, by and for youth, tells the heartrending story of 26 young Bangladeshis who risked their lives in search of a better future and undertook a perilous journey to Spain through the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea. This docudrama provides a candid glimpse into the minds of the Bangladeshi youth, exploring their deep frustrations with their current conditions along with their infallible optimism and national pride.

Adhunika - Adhunika is a global volunteer based organization, dedicated to promoting technology usage for the Bangladeshi women worldwide. Adhunika aims to bring about social change in the lives of women through the use of technology. Dristhipat - Drishtipat is an internet-based non-profit, non-political expatriate Bangladeshi organization committed to safeguarding every individual's basic democratic rights, including freedom of expression, and is opposed to any and all kinds of human rights abuses in Bangladesh. We are based in the United States, and have members in every part of the globe. Drishtipat and its local chapters (New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Boston, Virginia) have undertaken numerous campaigns every year since its inception in 2001. Web-based approach achieves maximum outreach and provides a cost-effective vehicle for coordination. From its inception Drishtipat New York has so far successfully completed several campaigns and many petitions and appeals including the Women of 1971 Campaign, Arsenic Project Campaign, the Tipu Sultan Campaign, Ushnota and the Cheye Dekho Campaign. Drishtipat's success came from all the compassionate people who came forward to support these humanitarian campaigns. Drishtipat hopes to have continued support from all these people and more new ones in the future campaigns. NYBAP - The Network of Young Bangladeshi American Professionals (NYBAP) is a national organization targeted at young professionals in the beginning and middle stages of their careers. NYBAP's founders saw the need for a network uniting young professionals from all walks of life to exchange professional experience and foster career development. Currently, NYBAP members represent a wide variety of industries including Finance, Law, Marketing, Consulting and Medicine.
